Welcome to the Terms of Service ("ToS") for Happy Hour Bot, a private Discord bot used exclusively within the Happy Hour server. By using this bot or participating in the server, you agree to the following terms.

1. Purpose of the Bot

Happy Hour Bot is a private moderation tool designed to assist administrators in maintaining safety and compliance within the Happy Hour Discord server. To perform these duties, the bot logs and temporarily stores certain server activity data as described below.

2. Data Collection and Storage

To support moderation and community safety, Happy Hour Bot collects and stores message and event data. This information is stored securely in an encrypted database while the bot is operational. When the bot is permanently shut down, all stored data is permanently deleted

• Message Information: Message content, unique message ID, and any attachment URLs.
• Author Information: Your Discord user ID, username, and whether your account is a bot.
• Location Information: The server (guild) ID and name, and the channel ID and name where the message was sent.
• Timestamps: The time each message is created.
• Deletion Status: Logs of deleted messages and their deletion timestamps to assist with rule enforcement.

Data is used solely for moderation, safety, and administrative review. It is never shared with third parties or used for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

Data remains stored while the bot is active to allow moderation features to function properly. When the Happy Hour Bot is permanently shut down, all stored data is deleted irreversibly. No copies, exports, or backups are ever made.

4. Your Responsibilities

By using the Happy Hour Discord server and its bot, you agree to:

• Comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
• Not misuse, exploit, or attempt to disrupt the functionality of Happy Hour Bot.

5. Security

All stored data is protected with restricted access. Only the bot developer can access unencrypted data. The bot uses standard Discord APIs and complies with Discord’s Developer Terms of Service.

6. Opt-Out and User Requests

Users may request to have their messages excluded from logging where feasible by contacting server administrators using the details below. However, certain moderation functions may still require temporary data processing for safety and rule enforcement. All stored data is deleted once the bot is permanently shut down.

7. Updates to Terms

These terms may be updated at any time. Notice of significant changes will be posted in the Happy Hour Discord server. Continued participation after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
